How to choose a certification body

Check that the body is accredited for the standard you need. Accreditation is what makes a certificate trusted by your buyers. Then compare quotes on the same scope: sites, headcount, audit days, surveillance audits and the renewal price.

Ask whether the body can audit more than one standard in the same visit. Combining ISO 27001 with ISO 42001 or ISO 27701 can save time.

What does accredited mean for a certification body?

An accreditation body checks that the certification body is competent and impartial. Without it, your certificate may not be accepted by the customers who asked for it.

Can the same firm advise me and certify me?

It should not. Standards require certification bodies to stay independent of the firm that helped you prepare.

How is this list ordered?

By the sort you choose. The default is the number of verified credentials, then alphabetical. Payment never changes the order, and a Featured slot is shown apart from the results and labelled as paid.
